In his will Daniel Carpenter names:

daughter Harriet, the wife of Elijah P. Morrell (he leaves her his house that he currently lives in and two lots and two houses in the same situate in the Village of Portchester)
Hannah Maria Goodday (this is the oldest child of Phebe and William Goodday)
Ann Carpenter "the wife of my son Thorn Carpenter"
daughter Phebe Goodday.
Daniel Carpenter appointed "son Thorn Carpenter sole executor."
In the papers files with the will are papers that speak of son William Carpenter who cannot be located.
A deed dated April 16.1803 transferred land in the town of Rye from John Merritt and Mary Merritt to Daniel Carpenter, Junr.
I found a deed from March 25, 1807 between Daniel Meritt, his wife Penelope Merritt to Daniel Carpenter, Junr. that again is property in the Town of Rye.
My only other source of information that I have to date is the Charles W. Baird book "History of Rye". The section he has on Families of Rye page 457 speaks of Daniel Carpenter:
"Daniel, son of Daniel, had several children: William, Thorn, Phoebe, Ezra, Eliakim, and -----, married Elijah P. Morrill."
