ALL WORKS OF MEN (and women) are imperfect. If you find an error, and there is no doubt you will find some, please let me know. Since this project involved hundreds of people with the same first and last name, it is important to keep each one separate. For example there is over seven hundred and seventy five (775) William Carpenters. Dozens of these William Carpenters had fathers with the same first name. How do we identify each one as a distinct individual and find him or her in this mix of names? Luckily the answer is simple. We use an identification number often called RIN. RIN is a random information number that is unique to the individual. After the name is the RIN. ALL names in the CE 2001 CD has a RIN or identification number. Most genealogical programs allow these numbers. If you do not see them, check under preferences or use your help or find key to learn how to use the ID numbers. William Carpenter-584 was born 23 May 1605 and his noted as the founder of the Rehoboth Branch of the Carpenters. RIN 584.
