Mark was married before Amy, she had, William Gilliam and Mark had Elihu, Charity, Robert, Salley, Lucy, Frankey, John,. Mark and Amy childern, I belive are Mark Amy, Harris; Some of, Mark childern, got there share of the esates, and move away , some of the daughter's got married; Robert, Elihu and Mark Jr when to Wilson County,Tenn. \\\\\\\\

Along with these three sons Robert, Elihu, and Mark Jr of Mark Jopling Sr in Wilson Co., Tenn was Thomas Jopling a son of James and grandson of Josiah Jopling of Amherst Co. . Va. Pleasant Martin who married Rebecca Jopling in Amherst Co.. Va is said to settled in Wilson County also, which makes it seem even more likely that the two branches of Jopling and Joplins were of the same original family in Virgina as well as in England. And that Pleasant Martin family moved to \\\\\\\\\\
Pettis County Missouri and that the branchs of Joplin and Joplin's also live in Moniteau and Pettis county some 25 mile apart. And they all live at the same time at Pettis County Mo. Their has been said that there was a grist mill that one of the Joplin own this family of Jopling's may be where it was because the Joplins in Moniteau did not own a grist mill. Ralph Joplin Jr from Pettis County was a County, judge in the 1800 at Pettis County. ( this Ralph Joplin is belive to be Thomas & Hannah Joplin son., and brother to Thomas, James, and Josiah.)

**********************************************************************************
I think he must be Thomas Jopling, Sr., s/o Ralph Jopling, Sr., ( b. 1673/64, in Wolsingham, Durham, England. Thomas Jopling, Sr., was born in May 1708, in Henrico CO., VA, the son of Ralph Joplin,Sr,. and unknow wife ( Mary Mobley? )

THIS MAKE ME BELIVE WE CAME FROM THOMAS 1, WHO FATHER WAS RALPH JOPLIN.;
Thomas Jopling Sr., married Hannah Freeman, b 1710, in Henrico CO., VA, the d/o George Jr. and Jane ( Holman ) Freeman on Oct.3, 1735. He would have been the one liveing on Rockfish River, in Albemarle Co., VA. in 1749

SOURCE: Summers History of Southwest Va, , Page 786
Thomas Joplin Sr., was living on Rockfish River, in Albermale CO., In 1749, bn in 1708.
We find him again in Amherst Co, as Captain of Minute Men, after that CO. was formed from Albermale in ( 1761 )

He died in Amherst in 1789. His will, which was made August 10, 1789 and Probated September 7, 1789, mentions: wife Hannah, childern Josiah, James, Thomas, Martha ( married John Griffin ) Ann Childress, Jane Davis, Lucy Powell, Rebecca Martin, Hannah Allen, Grandson, Jesse Joplin.
Witness to his will were Henry Martin, Joseph Thomas, Thomas Farrer, and John Joplin. ( Will Book #3 page 116) His eldest son , Ralph was not mentioned in his will.

( This Thomas Joplin is belived to be son of Thomas & Hannah Joplin But on Rebecca Jopling stone state daughter of Thomas & Mary Jopling,?. Found where Thomas Jopling married Amherst, CO VA to Sarah Stevens 1778
after Sarah death he Married Mary Stevens 1790 Amherst CO, VA they must have been sister! )

Thomas Jopling III, married Sarah," Sally," Stevens, the d/o James Stevens and Behethland ( Taliaferro) Stevens, on April 6,1772, in Amherst Co., Va. He served in the Am. Rev. from Amherst Co., VA. They had eight childern, but only four have been proven so far; Ralph, Behethland, Nancy, and James Stevens Jopling . They came to Kanawha Co., WV, ca. 1800, and their childern Ralph,,, Behethland and Nancy were in Kanawha Co. early on, but James Stevens Jopling might have gone to Tennessee with his first wife, Nancy Giddens, before coming to Kanawha Co., VA.

As a young man,Thomas and his family moved near his brother James Jopling and his family in Bedford Co., Va. Both familes were in the 1810 census of this county.

Early in 1819 Thomas and his family moved from Bedford Co., Va to Wilson Co., Tenn.

DEED BOOK Wilson County,. TN Thomas Dooley of ( Rumpstead ), territory of Missouri to Thomas Joplin of Smith County 500 acres on Round Lick Creek
16 February 1819 ( P: 434 )

16 Feb 1819 Thomas Jopling,III., bought 500 acres of land on Ceder ( Round Lick ) Creek, Wilson County, Tenn record show that Thomas Jopling,III., was a leading citzen during the 15 or more years he lived there. He served on a number of juries and for several years was a justice of the peace.

Thomas Jopling was not in the Wilson County census of 1830 in his own name. He could possibly have been living with a daughter.( Or Smith CO, TN he had own land there at on time.) We know he was still there because he married there in 1834. After this second marriage and before 1837 they moved to Pettis Co., Mo. Here in Missouri, Thomas's daughter Rebecca Jopling died.

( 1833- DEED BOOK P Wilson County,. TN
This indenture made this 20th day of October 1833 beyween Thomas Walker, Thomas Joplin,II., and George Martin, part of Wilson County and one of Smith County to Pleasant Goald a tract of land on Cedar Branch. ( Pp.379-380 )

At least one and possibly both of the two youngest childern were born after Thomas Jopling's marriage to Charlotte Powell, Oct 27,1834. Thomas was 58 and Charlotte was 40 in 1840. Thomas died at his home in Pettis Co., Mo in 1848, about 12 miles north of Sedalia. His second wife, Charlotte, died in 1874 and is buried beside him and his daughter, Rebecca Jopling. Buried nearby is his nephew, Jesse Jopling, a son of his brother James and Nancy Martin Jopling. \\
( This must make James and Thomas Joplin(g),III., brother's and the son's of Thomas Joplin Jr.

THOMAS JOPLIN: live in WILSON CO,TN 1830 at # 403. My Joplin line had three sons of Mark and Amy Joplin sons liveing next door. So who is this Thomas Joplin? he not in our family of Robert and Jane Joplin descendants.

WILSON CO, TN
1830s
Thomas Joplin also live at #403 and down the road live, Elihu Joplin at # 406. Mark Joplin and Robert Joplin live at # 407 so I no who all are where they fall in this family line ( MARK & AMY JOPLIN son's ). ( So, if Thomas Joplin is the brother of James Joplin of Virg, who is married to Nancy Martin. Then what family are Elihu Joplin, Mark, and Robert who are sons of Robert Joplin of Wake County,. NC?.) to Thomas Joplin. Thomas is the son Josiah Jopling Born Ca 1747, Amherst County, VA. They all live at Round Lick, TN where each own land. I, Think they were cousins! Keep looking at this stuff, and it starts to make sense!

This Thomas Joplin, line is, Thomas, Josiah, Thomas, Josiah, Thomas, Ralph,

There was a Allen G Joplin who was there who I belive to be a son of Robert Joplin & Sarha. Robert died at Wilson County, Tennessee as did Sarha and In her will Allen G Joplin was her son. Robert and Sarha has two sons and three daughter in 1820 Census of Wilson County, Ten. Will can be sent for at Wilson Tennessee. I am sure that this family move to Missouri after the death of Robert and Sarha. And after the death of Allen G Joplin wife, he remarried and live at Ellsinore Carter, County Missouri, See their tree and story.

Could this be are AMY GILLIAM ? Since we have a SPAIN and a GILLIAM ?

In the matter of WILLIAM TATE and AMY widow of MARK JOPLIN I do belive that AMY the widow of MARK JOPLIN was married to WILLIAM TATE. I had found that marriage to WILLIAM TATE and was sure she was married to MARK JOPLIN widow but when you sent me the marriage to AMY the daughter I never said anything and change it to the daughter AMY JOPLIN next time I will say something if I feel something else.

You sure are right we need alot more information confirmed, I think you found AMY GILLIAM family. And for the SPAIN on LUCINDA name could this be because AMY GILLIAM was a SPAIN. I will see if I can look at the microfilm regarding Deeds, for WAKE CO; N.C. I work at home for are self only thing is getting time. I never told you that i have a lot of CD's from WFT Maker this is how i do some of my searching.

As for the Mobley I will take it to someone who no more then me.
