82. France J⁴ Joplin (Robert³, Mark², Robert¹) was born July 15, 1811 in NC, and died January 1, 1862 in ILlinois. She married Terrell " Terry " Davis March 11, 1829 in Wilson County Tenn.

86. Allen G⁴ Joplin (Robert³, Mark², Robert¹) was born November 4, 1814 in Wilson County Tenn, and died November 9, 1888 in Ellsinore Carter County Missouri. He married (1) Susannah Bennett January 31, 1833 in Wilson County Tenn, daughter of William Bennett and Eleanor Tippett. She died Bet. 1840 - 1850 in Wilson County Tenn. He married (2) Elizabeth Ellis September 14, 1853 in Ripley County, Missouri.

I,am presently unable to prove the identity of the thrid child of this couple.

I, saw your query in the Joplin Family News I,m not sure if my great - great - grandfather Allen G Joplin is the same Allen G. Joplin that you are referring to or not but I am interested in finding out. I haven't been able to go back any futher. I know he was from Tennessee and later lived in Missouri, where he died and is burried. He was born 4 Nov, 1888.

Allen G. and his first wife lived in Tennessee I don't have any information on him. They had a son, Charles Henry B: 2 Dec, 1846 D: 26 Sept 1896 Charles married Mary McKinney 20 Feb 1868. Charles Henry and Mary had 3 dau, Martha, MargaretMaggie , Minnie. Mary died and Charles married Elvira Gardner. Charles & Elvira had 3 sons Allen Greene, Thomas & Charles. Allen G. & his first wife also had two daughters I don't have any information on them.\\

Allen G. at some time moved to Missouri near Ellsinore and married his second wife Elizabeth Ellis. They had one son, James Wayne Joplin B: 15 Feb 1855 D: 25 Oct, 1891 James Wayne married Louisa Alice Cole, They had 8 childern, James J. married Lula Ella Nance, Spencer Allen married Nellie Long she is still living at 103 years old in Grandin MO Claude Lee married Ethle stephens; Phillp married Enda Irene Buckingham my grandparents; Lucy married John Long Gordon Cleveland died in infancy \\\\\\

Allen G. Joplin was a very prosperous man holding title to many acres of land in Carter County, Mo. He was generous with his possessions. He gave the land for the Joplin Cemetery off Highway K. on ten Mile Creek near his home. He had a country store and a grist mill during his time. He is buried on the land that he owened and donated as The Joplin Cemetery near Ellsinore, Missouri. Charles Henry & Elvira A., James Wayne & Louisa, Alice, James J. & Lula Ella, Spencer Allen, Phillip & Enda Irene, Thomas Ruben, amoung many other Joplin's are buried in the Joplin Cemetery. I hope some of this information will help you in some way.

I would be interested in any information you might have on Allen G. Joplin when he lived in Tennessee. I am really interested in trying to find out if this is the same Allen G. Joplin that you are reffering to.
