Notes for John Henry Joplin:
Census # 1880 Moniteau County MO Found John & Elizabeth liveing with Nancy mother and her childern by George Joplin,Who is John Joplin father.Who she married after William Geminden died 1853 - they had three daughter,George and Elizabeth had three chidern George William - Edward - Louisa. George died some time around 1868. He was not in the 1870 Census. Elizabeth and her family were in a rented house at Jamestown John was a farmer, Edward son of Elizabeth was liveing with his hafe- sister Martha Opitz and her family and working with his Uncle Mike as a shoemaker. Never found Edward after this census. John and Lizzie had son Herman in 1880 at Jamestown. I was told that John and Lizzie two son drowned in a pond at Johnson County Mo around 1895. I belive to be Herman and Lenoard \\

1900- Census John was back in Moniteau County, Missouri working on the Longan farm . He was a farm hand their three men on farm, one was a longan and John don`t recall other person. I belive he died in moniteau. They say he left lizzie and the kids in Pettis County and got a cow I have herd the family Cow to sell so he had monies for his trip. Back to Moniteau County , That is about twenty five miles from pettis county. The longan are his cousin on his mother side. They are family of the Crum No one seem to no why he left, his family all I have ever been told was that my grandmother Nancy Elizabeth was a very bull head woman, my be this was what it was about. She was hafe "German" In her day It was her way or no way. But I never, ever herd my dad or anyone of his brother and sister ever say one bad word about her. ( Dad said they had hard times ) I found some deed and some other records in the Moniteau Court house, about John Joplin my grandfather that I would like to share they will be record In his story. John or Nancy Lizzie never re - married, I do not think they were ever divorced. She had a son in 1895 called Frank Lancaster " she never married father" of Frank. This could be why she left John, or why he left, or never came back. \\\\\\
