The Carrico/Carico Connection

Generation No. 2

2. PETER (II)2 CARRICOE (PETER (I)1) was born 1700 in Prob. Normandy, France, and died October 18, 1765 in Bryantown Hundred, Charles Co., MD. He married (1) ANN GATES 1720 in Charles Co., MD, daughter of ROBERT GATES and DOROTHY GATES. He married (2) MARGARET GATES 1738 in Charles Co., MD, daughter of JAMES GATES and JAYNET BOARMAN.

Notes for P
ETER (II) CARRICOE:
Left France for America about 1700. After a stormy voyage, suffering
shipwreck enroute, he landed in Maryland and settled in Charles Co. He
made deed to land there in 1707 to Walter Story, 1730 to Abel Carrico,
1765 and died in 1765. His will dated 4-Apr-1764, probated 18-Oct-1765
mentions his wife Margaret and 5 sons. It was customary in colonial
wills to name children in the order of their birth. An
approximation of the birth dates of these sons has been based on this
custom and the birthdate of Thomas Ignatius, the second son given as 1741
in the census of 1776 of Prince Georges County, MD which gave the ages of
both him and his wife as 35. ___, Looking Up The Family Tree, The Carrico
