Find Family
I am researching my CARTER ancestors who lived in Illinois. Andrew M. Carter moved from Adams county, Ohio about 1865 after the Civil War. I am currently researching his descendants from Illinois and they are....Andrew J. Carter (1871-1948), he was the mayor of Aurora, Illinois from 1941-1948; William H. Carter (1878-?)who lived in Wyoming, Illinois; Frank H. Carter (1882-?) who lived in Pontiac, Illinois, Gertrude Carter-Anderson (1885-1973), who lived in Peoria, Illinois; and Fannie E. Carter-Williams (1872-1941), who lived in Canton, Illinois.
I am also trying to research the Brown's in my family. Richard Brown and Rebecca Thomas were married in Adams County, Illinois in 1852. They had six children that I am aware of...Charles Oscar Brown (1873-1935), George (circa 1852), John Brown, James Brown, Martha and Alice Brown. They were all born in Camp Point, Adams County, Illinois.
The Lawrence Family in Illinois is another project. My great grandmother, Elsie Lawrence was born in Illinois on March 13, 1895. After having some health problems, she went to the Mayo Clinic in 1958 and died. She was buried in Riverside Cemetary in Pekin, Illinois. Any information about her parents or siblings would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for visiting and GOD bless.
