Find Family

I am researching the ancestors and descendants of Patrick Carney and Catherine Dooley, who were born in Ireland and emigrated from England to Detroit, Michigan between 1856 and 1860, and from there to Bay City, Michigan, by 1867. Most of Patrick's children moved back to the Detroit, Michigan area during the building boom of the Teens and Twenties.
Patrick was born about March 17, 1826 in Shinrone, Kings County, Ireland. His wife Catherine Dooley was born possibly in 1828. Patrick was a brickmason by trade. In addition, Patrick's father may have been named Rudolph or Raymond Carney (both names are mentioned on documents, but come from third parties) and his mother was possibly named Margaret.

Patrick may have had a brother named Michael who came to join him in Bay City, but this has not been verified. There is a Michael Carney in Bay City c.1868 who is also a brickmason.

I have a lot of information on Patrick's descendants, of which I am one, but very little about his ancestors. Any connections will be welcomed.
