| I am researching the CARMACK surname. Research done to date can trace the CARMACK's back to Cornelius Carmack, b 1681 (common belief is that he was born in Scotland, but I have found no proof of this). He lived in Maryland around 1700. He has been traced to Cecil County Maryland followed by Frederick County (or Prince George's County MD) Maryland. I have also started a Carmack Surname Discussion group hosted on Rootsweb.
