| I have only been researching for a couple of years. If anyone has more updated information that they would like to pass on to me I'll gladly accept! I'm needing information on my McCown ancestors, I'm told that they have been in this country for centuries. Connected to this family branch is Pocahontas! McCown married Osborne and viola! The Davis side of the family I've been told were some of the first settlers in Virginia. John Davis actually wrote books about his travels and sent them back to England. Peter Jessey was reported to have been in the book "Dubois" about the early French Settlement of Wisconsin. I can't find anything at this point about his parents. He is also mentioned in the book, "Dubay: Son in law of Oshkosh". He was a witness in John Dubay's murder trial. I'm also in the process of trying to find info on Jacob and Guri Johnson, from Norway. It's slow going. Any help there would be appreciated! |
