| The MIZELL family has a very interesting history. This surname has many varied spellings, including: MIZELLE, MEZEL, MEASEL, MEASLES, and so on. I have compiled a Great Ancestral Register of 15,000 to 20,000 names with sources. This family came into the U.S. through VA and spread throughout the country. My primary focus has been the family groups which moved south thru NC, SC, GA. At that point, some groups went into FL, others into AL, and finally into MS. Some of these families eventually made their way into LA and TX. These names are also found throughout KY, TN, and AR. I also have information on the Courtney family. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I am more than willing to share info. |
