CASS/CASE/CASSE James Josiah CASS, born October 10, 1822 and died May 18, 1897, lived in L'Orignal, Ontario for a time with his wife Emeline COBB. They were married December 3, 1845. Several of his eleven children were born in Canada. They are: 1)Ann Maria, 2)Electa Isabell, 3)Elihu James, 4)Elizabeth Florence, 5)Alanson Cobb, 6)John Josiah, 7)Alfred Edward, 8)Charlotte Emeline, 9)Baxter Bowman, 10)Charles Avery and 11)Lillian Mayo. Baxter Bowman and Alfred Edward moved to Nebraska and had families there. I have been trying to tie in the CASSE family from England whose name became CASE and CASS.
CLASON/CLAYSON James Ferris CLASON was born April 22, 1804 in Orange County, New York and died November 6, 1851. He married Louisa ROBINSON December 6, 1826. She died August 31, 1894 at Oronoco, Minnesota. They had twelve children: 1)James F., 2)Abel R., 3)Elvin B., 4)Harry H., 5)William T., 6)Mary Elizabeth, 7)Isaac W., 8)Rufus Loungsbury, 9)Betsy A., 10)Milan E., 11)Ellen L., and 12)George D.A. Harry married Julia SWARTHOUT at Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. They homesteaded in the Precept, Furnas County, Nebraska area and raised a large family. Harry died in Oklahoma.
WARNER Oliver Wendall WARNER was born February 16, 1861 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and died September 30, 1899 in Lyle, Kansas. He was married in 1899 to Florence Adella BROTHERS. She was born December 30, 1871 in Ohio to Arthur BROTHERS and Ellen JOHNSTON. They settled northwestern Kansas and southwestern Nebraska. They had five children: 1)Sarah Ellen, 2)Ida Jean, 3)Hiram John, 4)Mary Adaline and 5)Leo Oliver WARNER. "Della" remarried Harvey WINNER after the death of Oliver.
