Charles Marvin and Lorraine Dow Caseys' Family History

Since the summer of 1995 I have been actively involved in my family history. Before I retired in 1993 I did not have the time to do this. I have talked with my mother, Dorothy Casey, and received much information of the Hodges and Cooks. I have spent some time in the Watauga County Library, Boone, NC and taken a few car trips to gather info at Union Springs, Troy and Barbour Co Alabama. My wife, Lorraine, and I traveled to New England and New Brunswick, Canada and gathered a wealth of info on her Dow and Mooers ancestors. I compare this process to detective work. Sometimes the search goes more quickly than at other times, but it is very rewarding. I attended a Casey Reunion at De Funiak Springs, FL in 2000 and met many cousins who had migrated from Alabama to Florida.
