I am currently looking for information on John S. Mooney, b. abt 1780; m 10-26-1801 in Grayson County, VA. His wife was Sara Stoneman. Children: Sarah, Elizabeth, Flora, Adaline, William, John, Hanna and Zelpha. (most if not all children were born in Grayson County, VA.) 1820 Census for Grayson County, shows a John Mooney, and based on responses to questions on the Census, I believe he is the one. I need to trace his parents.

I am also looking for any information on the name "GRESSOT". So far I can trace to Augustine Gressot, born in France. Augustine immigrated to the United States (through New York) about 1850.

I'm also looking for descendants of Isaac Sproston from England. He married Mary Smith in Halesowen, Worcester, England. Known children: John Smith Sproston, b 1829; William Isaac Sproston, b 1830; Samuel Driver Sproston, b 1831; Leonard Sproston, B April 29, 1832. I believe all children were born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
