4. SAMUEL⁴ COOPER (SAMUEL³, JOHN², JOHN¹) was born Mar 23, 1689/90 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, MA, and died Deceased. He married SARAH KIDDER Mar 29, 1719 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, MA, daughter of SAMUEL KIDDER and SARAH GRIGGS. She was born Aug 17, 1690 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, MA, and died Deceased.

Notes for SAMUEL COOPER:
Samuel Cooper inherited the homestead of his father and grandfather on his father's death in 1717. He sold the homestead to Ebenezer Frost on 14 April, 1730 and moved to Grafton, MA where he became a member of the first church formed there on 28 December 1731. On the 21st of January, 1732, he and James Whipple were chosen the first deacons of this church. He was moderator in 1735-38-40. He also served on the school committee in 1738 and was the town clerk in 1739, only the second person to hold that office in Grafton. In 1738, Samuel Cooper was paid for keeping school at Grafton Road. No date of death for either Samuel or Sarah Cooper has been determined yet.
