| I am the tenth child of twelve children and have only recently started the compilation of a history of the Casserley family as I know it. My father, Matthew Casserley was born in Manchester, England March 3, 1911. The son of Thomas Casserley from Tuam, County Cork, Ireland and Annie Maria Kennedy who died some days after Matthews birth. Little is known of Anna Maria as no records can be found at this stage. My Mother, Margaret Nelson Kirkham was born in Manchester, England to George Frederick Kirkham and Ethel Withington. Mother and Dad were married , in Manchester, December 6, 1930. At present I am putting together the current family as that, in itself, is quite a task with half of the family living in England where I left in 1962, and the other half here in Australia. I only have sketchy information about Matthew and Margarets ancestry lineage but will soon be putting on-line the information that I do have. David Carol Casserley. |
