My family is researching the Miles family from Caswell and Alamance Counties of North Carolina. William (Billy) Wilson and Sallie Miles begam a life together in the late 1800s. Salli died in 1951 at the age of 110 years. She and Billy had 5 sons: Nettie,John (Dude), Preston, William, Edward, and 4 daughers: Martha, Daisy, Baby Sis, and Nearley. William had 1 son Issac Wilson and 2 daughters Ann and Julia Wilson from a different relationship. We are able to trace decendants from John, Preston, William and Edward with a high level of accuracy. But we are having difficulty tracing the 4 daughters of Sallie. Many of the relatives continue to live in North Carolina though some have migrated to Virginia and as far as New York. With the assistance of the Hewlett family, we were able to trace William Miles' son and 2 daughters to Richmond, Virginia. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
