| I've been doing genealogy research for about six years now. So I am still classified as a newborn in that sense. But I've come a long ways in those six years. I've found that I'm the 8th great grandson of John Trustin Case. He bore many siblings and so there are many lines. And of course, off them lines comes more and so forth. I currently have over 26,600 people on my tree. Of course my wife of thirty year's line is also there. And I good thing as I've found out that her and I are actually 1/2 31st cousins, twice removed. I'm amazed at how many things I've uncovered about the past. And I'm seeing that this is really a small world and that somehow, someway, everyone is somehow related. I live over 1,700 miles from my place of birth and I still find relatives nearby. I've even found a dear gentleman from Michigan that felt we were related. We shared much information, and six months later I found out we were in fact 9th cousins. He was from a different line that came from John Trustin Case. When he sent me his picture I was shocked. He had the Case features as I know them down pat. He looked so much like my own father. So this is to you Tom: Thank you so much for your help and kindness. Now that you're gone, I miss our times together online. I'm carrying on our work to the best of my ability and hope it meets with your approval. Rest in peace buddy. I'll take it from here. |
