The Casters of California & the USA are the decendants of Bert Josesph Caster who was born in Exline,Iowa in 1900. Bert's father, Henry Caster, was one of 10 boys born to Daniel Harvey Caster and Margaret Clinkenbeard. Henry married Laura Reed and they had five childern, Bert Caster, Theodore Caster, Edsion Caster, Lloyd Caster and Hazel (Rash) Caster.
There are seven living children of Bert Joesph and his wife, Mary Dunn. Mary was one of 12 children of John and Mary Dunn of Montrose of South Dakota. Bert and Mary migrated to California in 1945. Their seven children are Elizabeth Brooks, who married Robert Brooks (now deceased), LaVonne Fleming,who married Ora Ray Fleming Terrence Caster,who married Barbara Culver, Johanna (Eddo) Maher, who married Anthony Eddo and after his death, married Thomas Maher, Hubert (Bert) Caster, who married Beverley Kay which resulted in a divorce and then married Deanne Kay Nelson, Gerald Caster who married Bonnie Kessler and Richard Caster who married Victoria DeMaria. Collectively 45 children were born to the children of Bert and Mary Caster. Much of the family tree information has been aquired from the Caster Association of America and the rest from family members.

In August 2006, a Caster - Dunn family reunion was held at the home of Terrence and Barbara Caster in El Cajon California and was attended by over 400 family members. The next reunion is to be held in 2008. If you are a person with the last name of "Caster" or "Dunn" we will be happy to compare notes to see if we are related.
