From County Cork in Ireland-Patrick Cassidy married Bridget Tinney-They had eight children-James Joseph Cassidy(my grandfather)b.12/22/1862;Alicia; Ellen; Annie; John; Mathew; Sarah; Mary, b.6/24/1853. James went to America in 1880, sent for Miss Catherine Higgins born Feb.1866 in Ireland-they were married in Peoria 8/09/1888. Catherine s' parents were John Higgins, and Bessie Delmar.
