I am researching the following family names: CASAS y BECERRIL & ORTIZ y De Mato IN BARRIO DE RIO ARRIBA, FAJARDO, PUERTO RICO (PR) DURING THE LATE 1890'S; TURELL y ASTASIO & FILIPPI y NAPOLEONI IN BARRIO MONTE LLANO, PONCE, PR DURING THE LATE 1890'S; MIRLES y ROSARIO & RUIZ y ACEVEDO (May also be known as Acevedo y Acevedo)IN BARRIO RIO GRANDE, AGUADA, PR DURING THE LATE 1890'S. Felipe FILIPPI y NAPOLEONI was documented in the 1920 Federal Census as Father being born in Corsica, France. Fransesca ASTASIO was from Martinique. Antonio CASAS y BECERRIL in the 1920 census is listed as an administrator of a Sugar Cane Plantation. His father was Tomas CASAS and his mother was Antonia BECERRIL y FANFAN. Bernardo MIRLES y ROSARIO was a Farmer. It is believed that MIRLES is misspelled. His father was Damaso MIRLES and his mother was Monserrate ROSARIO. It is also noted that Longina RUIZ y ACEVEDO had stated that she was of half indian blood. Longina has brothers that use the surname of ACEVEDO y ACEVEDO.
