Notes for ALLEN FAIRCLOTH: From a GenForum post by Andrew Dennis Faircloth, E-mail <kd4tdn@bellsouth.net>: "Allen and Maria were the first Faircloths to move to Florida. Allen was born ca 1770 in Edgecombe Co.,NC He and his father Robert were living on the South Black River when Allen left NC and moved to Ga. about 1802-03. Allen settled in Montgomery Co. Fla. in the 1820's. Allen and Maria witnessed a deed on Feb 28, 1823 in Laurens Co. when their son Robert Samuel bought a slave.Allen died in Leon Co. in the 1850's and Maria died there in the 1830's." |
