Find Family

I am willing to share information on the following families that I am researching: CASTELINE (formerly: KASTELEIJN), VANDERCLOCK (formerly: VAN DER KLOK), AMBRUSO, LAMMARDO, CORRADO, CASALE, CLARK, THORPE, RODICHOK (formerly RATAJCZAK), and YENTSCH.
Most of these ancestors originally settled in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

I have information on five separate branches of the Casteline family, living in the U.S.,all of whom originated from a common ancestor from Ouddorp, Zuid-Holland in the Netherlands. I also have information on several other Casteline families from other areas of Holland.

I am also doing research on Dutch immigrants to northern New Jersey in the second half of the nineteenth century, their settlements, their occupations and their lifestyles.

What I need is about a gazillion pieces to finish the puzzle. If you have a piece, even a small one, please send me an e-mail.

Family Photos

  • John Casteline & Mary Jane Thorpe (c1900) (27 KB)
This was a postcard photo of my grandparents probably taken at on a holiday in the early 1900's.
  • Jan Kasteleijn (b:1835) (12 KB)
This is a photo of my great grandfather, Jan Kasteleijn, who was called John Casteline after he came to the USA in 1851. His uniform looks somewhat like a civil war soldier's uniform, but it could also be a local volunteer fireman's uniform.
