I am researching the family of John C. Fahnestock, my grandfather, who died in the early 1940s. His family had lived in Pittsburgh, PA for several generations before his birth, but were previously from Prussia (Germany). He was married to the former Alice Hunt from England. They had five children: William, Elmer, Sarah, Robert (who died in childhood) and Cora.I am also interested in learning more about my grandmother, Alice Hunt, who came to the United States from England cir. 1898. I know little else about her, except that she had a sister, Jenny, who also settled in or around Pittsburgh. |
