I am researching my family "GORTSEMA". My grandfather, Krien Gortsema came to the U.S. in 1910 from Groninger, Netherlands. He lived most of his life in Grangeville, ID. I am also looking for family of my mother's maiden name, RYLAARSDAM. Tony came to the U.S. in the early 1900's also from the Netherlands and settled in Grangeville, ID. Other surnames I am researching are CASEY, CAMPBELL, HARRIS and REINLASODER. We are kind of "sprouts" on the Casey tree. We go back to the Abner Casey from Tyrone, Ireland line. Our blood lines are CAMPBELL. George Campbell, b. 1862 in St. Clair County, Michigan, son of James Campbell, b.1832, Canada and Mary PACE, b. 1841 in Michigan, dau. of Fred Pace, b. 1807. George married Maria Alabama HARRIS CASEY in Kalispell, MT. in 1901. Maria "Alabama" Harris is the dau. of William G. Harris, b.1825 in AL and Louisa Anna Robinson, b. 1843 in AR, dau. of William Robinson and Mary HARMONSON. The REINLASODER line is from Germany, about 1895. They lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Montana. I am interested in contact with anyone descending from these lines to compare and share information and research. |
