| Researching my CASON, DARDEN, TETRICK, COUCH lines. I'm searching for marriage record of grgrandfather's, Asbury D. Cason & Pamelia A. TETRICK, mar.Jan. 29, 1869, assumed TX. Searching for divorce or anulment record of marriage between Asbury D. Cason and Sophia Long, mar. 1859 in Arkansas. Need proof of location for death of Asbury D. Cason. Only lead was "near New Salem, TX", but research came to dead end. Asbury D. Cason inlisted in the LA Confederate Army while residing in Claiborne Parish, LA Sept. 1861. Discharged from army April 1862, due to "physical inabilities". Where he went and what he did following is only family lore up to 1880 when found in Freestone Co., TX. He was not there long. Family lore has it that he followed the ranch jobs in Northeastern TX from sometime before 1867 and up to his death. Makes it very hard to trace him. I will appreciate hearing from you. I love hearing from other Cason researchers! |
