Historical research into The Colon-Correa Family Genealogy proved to be interesting and insightful. I read many books, searched several internet web sites, and requested confirmation of facts, to determine the following:

PUERTO RICO

The initial history of the Correa Family may be found in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. La Villa De El Capitan Correa, in Arecibo, was named after my 8th generation great grandfather, Antonio El Capitan Correa, who battled and defeated a British invasion.

SPAIN

Antonio El Capitan Correa's great grandmother,( my 10th generation great grandmother) Isabel De Castro Hinestrosa's lineage enters into several of the Royal Houses of Spain, by way of her great grandmother (my 11th generation great grandmother) Ana Lopez De La Cerda Y Mendoza, Inigo Lopez De La Cerda Y Mendoza, Infante Don Fernando I De La Cerda, to Alfonso X, King of Castile, Yolanda Aragon and James Aragon of the Royal House of Aragon Spain, and St. Ferdinand III, King Of Castile and Leon.

ENGLAND, FRANCE AND GERMANY

The Correa family lineage follows into the Royal Houses of England and Spain as follow's;
Several of the Royal Kings and Queens of Spain and their descendants married into the Angevin/Plantagenet Royal House of England, and the Capetian Royal House of France. Alfonso VIII, King of Leon, Spain (18th generation great grandfather) married Eleanor Plantagenet (18th genertaion great grandmother) daugther of Fitz Empress King Henry II Curtmantle OF England (19th generation great grandafther) and Eleanor of Aquitaine (19th generation great grandmother. The Correa Family lineage follows into the The Holy Roman Empire, The Byzantium Dynasty and The Royal House of Germany as follows;
Several of the Kings and Queens of the Royal Houses of Spain and their descendants married into The Holy Roman Empire.
King Ferdinand III of Castile and Leon ( my 16th generation great grandfather), married Beatriz Von Hohenstaufen (16th generation great grandmother). Beatriz's father was Philip of Swabia, Holy Roman Emperor and my 17th generation great grandfather. Philip of Swabia, Holy Roman Emperor, married Irene of Byzantium my 17th generation great grandmother.

THE KIEV DYNASTY OF RUSSIA

The Correa Family lineage follows into the Kiev Dynasty of Russia, as King Henry I Capet of France 21st generation great grandftaher married Princess Anne of Kiev, Russia. Princess Anne's father was King Yaroslav I, The Wise and my 22nd generation great grandfather.

Further research indicates that the ancestors of The Correa Family Lineage where devout Christians/Catholics.

THE COLON FAMILY

ITALY, PORTUGAL

Historical research cannot confirm whether the birth place of Christopher Columbus was indeed Italy or Portugal. However, what can be confirmed is that he was indeed a Genoese merchant and navigator. He was indeed a close confidant and loyal friend of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella and he did indeed voyage to new lands, and conquered several islands in the Caribbean including La Hispaniola and Puerto Rico.

The Colon and Correa Family genealogies intertwine and remain close by way of Christopher Columbus's son Diego Colon and his grandson Luis Colon Y Toledo. Each married into the descendants of the Royal Houses of Spain, (Correa Family Lineage)during the colonization period of the Caribbean Islands.
The Colon Family Genealogy includes figures such as Juan Ponce De Leon, Garcia Troche and Hernan Cortes.

The Colon and Correa Family genealogies intertwine with the Rodriguez surname by way of King Rodrigo of the Visigoths 711 A.D. He was one of the last Visigoth Kings to rule over Spains Iberian Penin
