I am researching the Castagnetto family history including the maternal branches (Town(e)s, Gilligan, Williams, Mullen, Bryant, Kagee). The first Castagnetto to arrive in the U.S.A. was Maurice and his wife and children in the late 1880's. In 1859, Christopher Gilligan and his wife, Susan, arrived in California and in 1869, purchased what was to be called the Gilligan ranch, in the Visitacion Valley area of San Francisco(later to become part of McClaren Park).
