| I began researching my family history years ago but got away from it for awhile after seemingly hitting a brick wall. I just recently picked it up again and am determined to continue where I left off, hopefully having more success than I did before. Much of the information I have collected came from family members who are, unfortunately, no longer with us. The names I am most interested in finding out more about right now are Dalton, Cain, Watson, Thompson, Loy, and Conover. This is my mother's side of the family, although any new information I can gather is much appreciated. The counties most of them lived in are in Ohio (Butler, Preble, Darke, Miami, Champaign, Mercer, Shelby, Auglaize), but some are from Virginia and Pennsylvania, as well, and some migrated from Ireland.
