The Abruzzi region of Italy is where I am researching the DiPaolo family. The name was changed to DiPaul after arriving in the United States in 1914. Giustino DiPaolo born abt. 1826 married Splendora De Ascentiis and their son Leonardo married Filomena Di Pietro.Their son Angelo DiPaolo born in Poggio San Vittorino married Ida Tavani from Morro D'Oro in 1911. Angelo arrived in the United States in 1914 and Ida in 1919.They settled in the Philadelphia area. Ida's father Nicola married Maria Grazia Palmieri in 1867 and had 7 children. Nicola's father was Pasquale and he married Olimpia Di Colli. Pasquale's parents being Gianberardino Tavani and Antonia. The Richardsons, beginning with John and Jemima of Maulden, mostly came from Bedford, England with my mother arriving in the States as a war bride in 1946. Presently both families are documented to about 1780. Whitmore, Page, and Neal are related surnames.
