Not in Greene Co. AR 1860 census.

Found in Greene County, Arkansas records that David Lewis Baxter paid personal property tax in 1880.

David Baxter's father was born in North Carolina and mother was born in Virginia according to the 1900 Greene Co. AR census. In the 1880 Hurricane, Greene County, Arkansas census it states his mother was born in North Carolina.

David and his brother, Swannie, came to Missouri together.

According to LDS FamilySearch individual record tells me that David was married to a Margarett ?
I am told by my Uncle Lynn Lampley that my old portrait is of David Lewis Baxter and his wife Emmaline America. David was married twice, first to Emmaline America. I don't know if America was Emmaline's last name or middle name. Second marriage was to Mary Jane Mannon.
