History: We all came from Lipari, Sicily, Italy. We are all directly related. There are seven branches of "Casaceli" alive today.
First Emigrants: My branch of The Casaceli' was the first to leave Lipari, which is in the "Aeolian Island chain." Capo d'Orlando is where my great grandfather Angelo Casaceli alit. He started his family, in a home he named villa "Casa de Celli," which was over-looking the water's edge of the Mediteranian Sea.
In time, his son Felice Casaceli, began the process, that would continue for several generations to come. We emigrated to the United States of America in 1889, entering through Ellis Island, and settleing in Greenpoint Brooklyn, New York.
My grandfather Antonio Casaceli, a Cooper by trade, as most Casaceli in our familiy were through history. There were some tailors and fishermen as well. All business people.
We The "Casaceli" of the world, live in only four countries. They are The United States of America, Canada, Italy and Australia. And no matter where we Casaceli' reside, or how many generations since the first Casaceli was named, and no matter how many more generations are to follow, we all have certain traits, and qualities that are unique to us, alone.
You're all probably grining ear to ear right now, looking at each other, laughing, nodding your heads and thinking to yourselves, you know, he's right!
