| At the present moment I am researching my father's family of Vernon, and have worked back to 1797 when my great great grandfather, Thomas Vernon, was born in Alnwick, Northumberland. A month ago I was contacted by a third cousin, who I never knew existed, and she had no knowledge of my side of the Vernon family. We have exchanged information, and established a friendship I would never have believed possible. Now I'm hoping to find other relatives who may be able to assist my research. In particular, I'm looking for information on Henry Vernon, my great great great grandfather, who married Mary Grumwell (or Grumble) in either 1796 or 1797 in Alnwick. In addition, I am also researching my husband's family of Castling, and am anxious to discover any information on Thomas Castling who was born about 1730 in Ilton, North Yorkshire, and married Alice Blackburn in 1755 in Ilton Any information would be greatly appreciated, and, of course, I am willing to share any relevant information I have. |
