I am researching the CATES family from Union County & Johnson County, Illinois.James CATES was born about 1805 - 1807 in either North Carolina or South Carolina and moved to Tennessee and eventually to Southern Illinois.His children included: Epsy Adeline, Sarah, Jane, Marion Monroe, Elizabeth, Nancy, Martha Ann, Franklin Powhatan, Christopher Columbus, Melissa and Mary.Franklin Powhatan CATES was born in October of 1842, in Union County, Illinois and married Mary Malvina LINGLE on October 16, 1864 and they had eleven children. William Franklin CATES was born on October 22, 1867 in Union County, Illinois and married Matilda Adeline WATERS (VANDEWATER) on September 10, 1891 and they had ten children.
In addition, I'm researching the WENNMACHER family.Adam WENNMACHER was born in Waldbillig, Luxembourg on September 8, 1846, and came to the USA in 1869.He married Katharine DINSCHEL (she was born in Trier, Germany) on July 5, 1881 in Kane County, Illinois, and they had five children.
In addition, I'm researching the HAGSTOTZ family.Leonard HAGSTOTZ was born in Dettingen, Germany on April 19, 1867, and came to the USA.He married Elizabeth WIESBROOK on May 28, 1889 in Kane County, Illinois, and they had three children.
In addition to the above, I'm researching the families of Daniel Lawrence FOSTER (1848 - 1911) of Kane County, Illinois, the families of Wilson FOSTER (1829 - 1850) of Pennsylvania, the families of George MANNING (1884 - 1956) of California, and the families of Barbara ROMERO (1894 - 1925) of California.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
