The following obituary is from the 1981 Minutes of the Thornton Union Association of Old Regular Baptist, Page 40:

Kenneth Webb was the son of Mose and Maggie Webb. He was born at Kona, Kentucky on February 2, 1002 . After a long illness, he passed away at the Whitesburg hospital on March 27, 1970 making his stay on earth sixty-eight years, one month, and twenty-two days.\

In 1934, he was married to Hester Thomas and to this union was born three sons and two daughters. He is survived by his sons; Jimmy Webb and Alfred Webb of Kona, Kentucky and Jean Tackett of Jenkins, Kentucky; and six sisters --- Jamie of Indiana, Edna of Ermine, Clara of Hysi, Virginia, Leona of Virginia, Della of Ohio, and Minnie of Cromona, Kentucky.

Kenneth never attached himself to any church, but he often spoke of the Old Regular Baptist. We can only say he went to sleep in the arms of a just God waiting for the resurrection.

His funeral was preached at the Little Rock Church on Friday, March 27, 1970 by Elders Bill Sparks, Ismay Sparks, Bill Craft, and Dave Wagner. Burial was in the Potters Cemetery at Kona, Kentucky.

"Uncle Nelson Kincer"

The Death Angel came into the home of the Kincer Family of Kona, Ky. on Thursday evening and took from their midst the loving husband and father, Nelson. Although Uncle Nelson had been in poor health for the past few years, his loved ones kept hope and faith that he might regain his health and strength, until the last few months, his strength and energy began to grow much weaker. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Buck Kincer and was born Feb. 14th, 1884, being 64 years, four months, 22 days old at the time of his passing.
He was married to Ollie Lee Williams, June 1, 1901. To this union was born eight children: Mrs. Josie Skiles of Weeksbury, Ky.; Joda, Buck, Emit, Sallie, and Dixie of Kona, Ky., Pvt. Bill Kincer of Camp Polk, La., and Mac, deceased. Besides the above, he is survived by his wife, one step-daughter, Mrs. Daisy Holcomb, several grand-children and several brothers and sisters, besides a host of loving friends.
Uncle Nelson was a hard-working, honest, kind citizen, and reared a fine family of children. Before he passed away he assured his loved ones that a home was waiting for him in the Great Beyond. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Regular Baptist Church, Kona, Ky., on Sunday, July 9th at 1:00 p.m., o'clock with Rev. Basil Hall, Rev. T. R. Collier, Rev. Andrew Adams, and Rev. Bill Blair, officiating.
Burial in Family Lot at Mayking Cemetery, Craft Funeral Home in charge.
