"Obituary of Mrs. Elizabeth Webb"

Mrs. Elizabeth Kincer Webb was born Nov. 26, 1872, the daughter of the late Mary and Bob Kincer of Mayking. In 1893 she was united in marriage to Mr. Jason Webb, also of Mayking. To this union was born 9 children, one dying in infancy. The children are Mr. Basil Webb and Mrs. Louie Branham, Mrs. Cecil Maggard, all of Cromona, Ky. Mrs. Anderson Robbins of Jenkins, Ky., Mrs. Ross Whitaker, Mrs. Porter Brewer, and Mrs. Frank Brewer of McRoberts and Pfc. Maynard Webb who is with the armed forces stationed in Camp McCain, Genada, Miss.
Mrs. Webb joined the Regular Baptist Church and was Baptized in 1911. Her membership was with the Thornton Baptist Church at Mayking, Ky. She was a regular attender and never missed but very few meetings and those were when she wasn't feeling well enough to go.
She had been in very good health until this summer she had not felt so well but she was not one to complain very much but she said the last 3 weeks of her stay with us that she knew she couldn't get well. One week before she died the doctor was called and he pronounced her having heart dropsy which had come on quickly.
She prayed all along to live long enough to see her youngest son, Maynard who had been called but the Lord knew best and sent his death angel and took her away on Aug. 30, 1943.
She was always kind to all she knew and spoke well of her neighbors. She was always patient with children and wanted them to have their way in play. She was loved by all who knew her and she said before she died that there was nothing in her way and she was ready to go. She was concious until the last because she was only in bed for four or five days and she had prayed so much that when the end came she would know all around her and just five minutes before she died she was talking to one of her great grandchildren and the end came quick and easy.
We know that our loss is heaven's gain and we wish to thank the many friends for their kindnesses shown, also we wish to thank Dr. A. B. Carter and Craft Funeral Home for their kind services.
The Funeral was held in the Thornton Baptist Church with Revs. Dewey Sexton, Tommy Collier and G. Bennett Adams preaching the last rites before interment in the Webb Cemetery on Sept. 4th. - THE FAMILY.
