| We are currently trying to research the roots of the Peter & Bridget McDonald Family. They lived most of their married life on 72nd Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., although they were married in Manhattan (probably Hell's Kitchen). Both were born in Manhattan c 1869. B's parents were Mary and Robert Forrest, both born in Ireland and both emigrated in 1865 (not yet married). We are also trying to research Michael Cawley's ancestry. Michael was born in York, England in 1885. His cousin says M's father was in the English army. Both of M's parents' families had been transported from Ireland to England after their fathers were executed by the British. Reports differ if it was the father or the grandfather who was twelve when the families arrived in England. |
