Henry Lafayette Baxter Family Home Page

Henry Lafayette Baxter (b.1849) and Mary Ardell Carr (b.1857) were from New York state and migrated to Ohio. Many of their children ended up in Michigan. Though Henry Lafayette appears to have been part American Indian, Mary Ardell Carr was a full-blooded Mohawk.
We have been holding family reunions in Michigan since 1932. For the last several years, we have been meeting the 3rd week in August at Burchfield Park (formerly Grand River Park), in Holt, Michigan.
