I have traced my Reed family back to Jesse Reed born in 1788 in Virginia (county unknown). By 1824, Jesse and his family were living in TN (county unknown). From 1824 to around 1847, it appears that they continued in TN. From around 1848 to 1854/55, he and at least one of his sons, Burton REED, moved to Marshall Co. KY. In 1854/55, they moved to Johnson Co. IL. Other family lines I am researching are Murrie, Kerley, Allard, Belcher, Ford, West, Bickers, Jourdan, etc.
