1. JOHN1 CESSNA was born in France, and died September 30, 1751 in Newberry, York County, Pennsylvania. He married (1) MRS. CESSNA. He married (2) PRISCILLA FOULKE Abt. 1740, daughter of STEPHEN FOULKE and ESTHER WILLIS. She was born Abt. 1724, and died Aft. September 30, 1751 in North Carolina.

!1. "De Cessna - Among the heroes of the Duke De Schomburg atthe batt le of the Boyne (1690) was a young Huguenot soldier Jean De Cessna wh o remained in
Ireland after the forces of William, Prince of Orange, were withdrawn .In 1718
he came to Pennsylvania and located in Lancaster County. (1) Later h e removed to York County where he died in 1751. (2) Several of his s ons located in Shippensburg as early as 1751 and then later removed t o Bedford County where the family became prominent. John De Cessna ( 1718-1800) of Bedford County was one of the leading men of the Provin ce. He was a member of the Provincial Assembly and Constitutional Co nvention of 1775 and a colonel in the Revolutionary War. His brother ; Charles De Cessna, was likewise a colonel in the War of Independenc e. The late Hon. John Cessna, State Senator and member of Congress , was a great grandson of Col. John De Cessna. Another son of the im migrant was Stephen De Cessna, who prior to 1750 was a resident of Cu mberland County.

!2. WILL OF JEAN DE CESSNA (John Cessna I), probated September 30,1751
York, Pennsylvania, Will A49 dated August 6, 1751.
"Whereas, I John Cessna of Newbery, in the County of York, and pro vince of
Pensilvenia being very sick and weak in body, but in perfect mind an d memmory, praise be given to God, this sixth day of August in the ye aer of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty-one, calling t o mind ye faility of ye body and desirous to settle my affairs in thi s world, first of all I recommend my soul to God that gave it, and m y Body to ye Earth to be buried in a Decent Christian manner, and a s touching such Worldly goods as it hath pleased God to Bless me wit h I bestow in ye manner following first that my just Debts and funera l charges be payd and next I give and bequeath to my true and lovin g wife Priscilla one fether bed with furniture belonging thereto on e chest of drawers and all and singular my household goods as also on e-third part of the remainder of my Estate and ye other two-thirds t o be divided Equaly between my Children allowing my s'd wife to use y e s'd Childrens parts for her and their supports as Necesesety Requir es during her widdowhood, But in case of her second marage to rende r to ye Children their full shares as before mentioned bearing Intres t from the day of her mariage to be payd to them as soon as they com e to age. And I make and ordain my true and loving wife Priscilla an d my trusty and will beloved friend Peter Stout to be my Executrix an d Executor of this my last Will and Testament and declare this my las t Will and Testament as Witness my Hand and Seal ye day and year abov e written. ! Priscilla, daughter of Stephen and Esther Willis Foulke, was born c irca
1724, first married John Cessna (Sisney), second married Abraham Elli ott,
went from York County, PA to Orange county, NC, and died before 178 6 in NC:

! Priscilla died after 9-30-1751 when John Cessna's will was probated . She
was named Executrix of his estate: source, John Cesna will [A49]. Yor k County, Pennsylvania Court Records.

  ii.   STEPHEN SISNEY, b. Abt. 1693; d. 1759; m. PATIENCE.
  Notes for STEPHEN SISNEY:
October 17, 1743 one Stephen Cessnay or Sissenay received a warrant for 200 acres in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
In 1748, one Stephen was the executor of the will of John French of the City of Philadelphia.
August 31, 1756 Stephen Sisna's estate was inventoried.
October 5, 1757 a letter was sent to Stephen's administrators: Arthur Foster and Patience Cessna.
April 18, 1758 Stephen Sessna property had a sheriffs deed to William Russel.
1762: Patience asked for help with Stephen, John and Stephen minor sons of Stephen and John Cessna.

! A Stephen Sisney and John and Ruth of Newberry were received July 9 , 1763 into the Warrington Township Society of Friends Meeting: source, York County Historical Society Reference #603, Church Records.
