Notes from obit; She was the daughter of Samuel Asa of Ohio and Susan Truxel of Illinois. Surviving are 8 children Mrs. Louise Hatton of Detroit MI, Mrs. Mattie Bierman, Mrs. Bessie Daughtery and Mrs. May Howard all of Muscatine IA, John, Daniel, and Edward Hayes of Muscatine, Wilson Hayes of Little Falls MN. Wrote on the back of her picture, she lost her sight in Lowell Kansas managed to get back to Iowa via covered wagon. Oldest child was 16 or 17 her husband shot himself in Kansas because he suffered so with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife May 24, 1961; one daughter in infancy, two sisters and 3 brothers. Burial was in Greenwood cem. in Muscatine IA.

Her mother was Eulalia Hayes, daughter of Walter Hayes, son of Wilson Hugh Hayes II, son of Wilson Hugh Hayes I, who is the father of Daniel Pierce Hayes, father of John Henry. Wilson Hugh I is the son of Samuel C Hayes & Nancy Agnes Reynolds. Samuel is the son of James & Jane (Eve) Hayes. Nancy is the daughter of Joshua & Rachel Reynolds.
