Iowa died at his home after an illinois of about a week. The son of James W. and
Hannah Simmons Troxel, he was born on Feb. 20, 1854, at Marion Illinois and
lived there about 20 years. He married Amanda M. Essex in July 1879, in
Rock Island County, Illinois. He was a member of the Methodist church. He
is survived by three sons, Ora J. Troxel, Ross P. Troxel and Dan Troxel all
of Muscatine Iowa, three daughters Mrs. M. E. Hegwood of Wyoming Illinois,
Mrs. Elvin Bradley of Los Angeles California and Mrs. Raymond Miller of
Muscatine Iowa, and 26 g/children. He was preceded in death by his wife
three sons and two daughters, one brother and one sister.
