Obituary: Lettie Kelley, 96, of Boone died of a heart ailment Sunday at Evangelical Free Church Home there. Services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Stark-Welin Funeral Chapel in Boone, with burial in Linwood Park Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Boone County, Mrs. Kelley was formerly employed at the hosiery mill in Boone and was a homemaker. She was also an active member of the hospital auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Duncan, and a son, Larry, both of Boone; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.

Obituary: Verne Kelley, 91, of Boone died of pneumonia Monday at Evangelical Free Church Home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday at Stark-Welin Funeral Chapel, and burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery.
Mr. Kelley was born in Polk City. He formerly worked for the Fort Dodge and Des Moines Southern Railroad and retired from the Chicago and North Western Railway. He was a member of the Firemen and Oilers Union and the Brotherhood Association of Railroad Employees. For more than 50 years he also was a "Santa's helper" and visited area homes, children's parties and nursing homes.
Surviving are his wife, Lettie; two daughters, Beverly Duncan and Randa Lee Greeson, and a son, Larry, all of Boone; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
