Holden says: "George was killed with a knife on Cow Creek during a fight with his cousin Drury Burchett, Jr., a son of Drury and Elizabeth McCowan Burchett." and "George was in Co. F., 10 Regt., KY Confederate Cav. Was a prisoner of war in TN and parolled 28 Apr. 1865." and notes that Drury was in same company with him, also imprisoned and parolled with him.
