6. CLARK JACKSON³ THOMPSON (WILLIAM², WILLIAM¹) was born 10 March 1869 in Jasper, GA, and died Abt. 1938 in St. Simons Island, GA. He married NANCY ALMA DAVIS 1891, daughter of ALANSON DAVIS and ANNIE DUNCAN. She was born March 1873 in GA.

Notes for CLARK JACKSON THOMPSON:
According to Lila Thompson, Clark's daughter, Clark was widowed with one child, Clemmie, at the time he married Alma Davis. We do not know the name of this first wife. At the time I spoke with her she did not recall death dates for her parents but said that her father had died in St Simons, GA. about 1938/1939.

She had often told the story of going to Texas in a covered wagon as a small child. This move was precipitated by her father shooting a man over a horse. They stayed in Texas until matters could be smoothed over and then returned to Georgia.
