| I am currently gathering information on the NELMS of Alabama and Virginia from the late 1700's through the 1800's.They were married into by the LEFTWICH family, the MITCHELL family and the LUNSFORD family while still in Virginia. These groups were in the Northumberland and Bedford County areas of Virginia. Another family of interest is the BUNTING line of Virginia. The FOOTE family who migrated from Union District, SC in 1832 and settled in Powder Springs, GA is also being researched here. One of the brothers, Dr. Rueben T. FOOTE migrated to Society Hill, AL during the 1840's. His wife Sarah Daniel was from the Morgan County, GA area and had been widowed by Joseph Coleman. |
