The Family and Relations of Daniel Paul Champion

Forgive the lack of updates to this family tree in the last year. I have been battling a sarcoma (a type of cancer caused, ironically, by the radiation treatments that helped me beat cancer when I was a teenager) that has spread into my chest. It's a long haul, but I seem to be fighting it well. In the meantime, I have LOTS of free time but am usually too sick and tired to do the actual work of genealogy. Still, I continue to welcome and add new information that is being sent to me.

I still have the big old Champions of Saybrook family history book, but haven't made time to process it yet.

Keep the birthday tree in mind... it lists all the birthdays of all your relatives, so you know just exactly when it is that you forgot to send a card.

There are two versions of the All-In-One tree. The PDF version is a snapshot of every person I have currently sourced in the tree. The other version (The InterneTree) will pop up with me and will list direct parentage all the way back, but siblings can be found by using the directions on the tree itself. I suggest that you use the PDF tree to locate yourself or the relative you're interested in, then find them in the InterneTree for details on them, since they may not immediately appear in the InterneTree.

Note that some members of the tree have two listings. Back in the day, two Champion first cousins married (this was accepted practice back then), so, for instance, I am both myself and my own 8th cousin.

Please use my home number or email address if you can add to this site in any way. There are still a number of aunts and uncles whose dates I don’t have yet, as well as much about Stephanie’s family that was lost in a computer crash. If you can fill in the gaps, especially if you are a PRIMARY SOURCE, please please please let me know.

I can also scan pictures or important documents (birth/death certificates, courthouse records, etc) into the computer, which will allow them to remain long after the pictures are faded and the paper crumbled. Please contact me if you have any old papers or pictures that we can save by scanning to computer. Any local copyshop will scan them to a computer disk for you and you can then send them to me in the mail or email.
