* Our Trail to Oregon*

Updated December 24, 2003

Researching Banks, Hubbard, Dixon, Bonebrake, Wilson, Griffis, Reynolds, Walker, Marsh, Sargent, Ferry, Levere/Lavier, and Gustafson.

Our trail to Oregon begins with my ggggrandmother Rebecca Emoline Banks. One can only imagine the peril that the parents of two-year-old Rebecca encountered as they traveled the Oregon Tail by wagon train in 1852.

Before Oregon saw the year 1900, the state saw new residents, like Joseph Dixon, James Wilson, Allen Ira Reynolds, Caroline Walker, James Marsh, Levi Ferry, Reason Sargent, and Edward Lavier, making the state their new home.

Most of the family you find listed is verified through census, marriage books and other reference material. But a lot have also been found on the internet from sites that other researchers have “paved” before me.

Happy hunting and hope you find information that will be helpful in your research!
