Welcome to CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY@FTM
I am Larry Chesebro' who, with my wife Nancy (Cagle) Chesebro', started our research December 1997. Ancestors, descendants and collateral families of our Chesebrough and Cagle families include Avery, Babcock, Ball, Brown/Browne, Cagle, Chesebrough (all 20+ spelling variations), Cobb, Denison, Graves, Hinckley, Ingraham, Lathrop/Lothrop, McCollum, Miner/Minor, Nall/Nalle, Noyes, Palmer, Rosebrough, Sanford, Standridge, Stanton, Washington, Royal, Mayflower, James Towne and Magna Charta lines.
William Chesebrough, my immigrant ancestor, came to America with the Winthrop fleet in 1630 aboard the Arbella, "Admiral" of the fleet, for the reason partly, that it was the staunchest and best furnished of the vessels, and partly perhaps, as Savage in his notes in Winthrop's Journal suggests, that it was owned by and carried "the principal people" of the Colony, including Johnson, Winthrop, Coddington, Dudley, Bradstreet and Saltonstall with their respective families among others.
Below are two "Orphan" files (temporarily removed Jan 2006) containing probable relatives of William Chesebrough but who we have not connected to William. One file is alphabetically by given name and the other by surname. We hope viewers will recognize individuals in these files and share with us additional information connecting them to William.
We invite and strongly recommend you to visit our award winning CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY home page by selecting its link below. This location contains all our details in more than 35 separate surname Family Files including one Family File with every recorded name - more than 75,000 individuals. Especially useful for Chesebrough researchers is the Chesebrough Spelling Variations Alphabetically by Given Name Family File which eliminates the confusion caused by more that 20 spelling variations of the surname.
Our CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY Family Files can be viewed by name, ancestor or descendant chart, and family unit. Any view can be printed and each Family File can be downloaded in FTM IBM GEDCOM format.
And, by selecting the link below for CHESEBO' GENEALOGY@RootsWeb, we offer you a location updated more regularly than all others. That location contains all our individuals, notes and, most importantly, our source citations for all our data.
Thanks for visiting CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY@FTM. We hope you will visit CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY and CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY@RootsWeb and tell us what you think about our work in the Guest Book at CHESEBRO' GENEALOGY.
