2. JOHN3 CHINN (CHRISTOPHER2, CHINN1) was born Abt. 1681, and died Bef. August 03, 1723 in Hinton St. Mary, Dorset, UK. He married ELIZABETH Abt. 1699. She was born Abt. 1685, and died Bef. January 10, 1737/38 in Hinton St. Mary, Dorset, UK.

Notes for JOHN CHINN:
John Chinn was probably born no later than 1680 and was married to Elizabeth (surname not known). He is believed to be the eldest son of Christopher and Hannah which would make his birth sometime before 1682. He was buried August 3, 1723 in the Churchyard of St. Peter's Church, Hinton St. Mary, Dorset. He and his wife had at least three sons and one daughter.

John would have been a child at the time of his father's death. As a result the family were not of able circumstances and John's mother, Hannah, was mentionned in the parish poor accounts in 1702 as having her house rent, bed clothes and burial paid for by the parish. Also in 1702 there is mention in the Poor Account books of John's wife having received a payment. John was later mentionned in 1707 and 1709. In 1714 payments were made to purchase clothes for their son Amos. He and his family were not mentionned again as having received assistance.

3. WILLIAM3 CHINN (CHRISTOPHER2, CHINN1) was born Bef. December 08, 1682 in Hinton St. Mary, Dorset, UK, and died Unknown. He married MARY Abt. 1702. She was born Abt. 1685, and died Unknown.

Notes for WILLIAM CHINN:
By 1703 William was residing in Marnhull, Dorset and was still reported as living there in 1712. William is thought to be the same William, son of Christopher and Hannah Chinn of Hinton St. Mary, and if so would have been Baptised on Dec 8 1682.

It is possible that this branch of the family moved to Fordington St. George, Dorset (near Dorchester). A William Chinn is recorded as having baptised two more daughters there. The second baptism is recorded as being 1726 to William and his wife Mary. The first baptism in 1717 by wife "Ann" may be unrelated to this family; or may be an error in the record.

By 1717 it is believed that William moved to Fordington St. George, Dorset (near Dorchester) with his parents and the rest of the family. This requires confirmation; however in 1734 William Chinn is reported to have married and there is a record of 4 children either baptised or buried between 1734 and 1740.
